This began as a work inspired by Moebius' 'Airtight Garage' story, and his colourful, ornamnental style generally. There are elements from some of those frames here.
It developed into an attempt to create a sci-fi themed image whrere the architecture and ornamentation are clearly defined. The atmospheric effects are then controlled seperately afterwards.
