Being a big fan of the Silent Hill series and survival horror in gerneral I began this piece. One of my favourite locations in SH Origins was the bowels of the Sanitorium and I already had a lots of great reference imagery for this.
To make this I built a greybox in Maya and rendered it with Final Gather. I then look it to Photoshop to finish.
